Nio won’t only be specializing in speedy electric supercars, however, having recently revealed the luxurious Eve concept as its second production car. The Chinese car company intends to introduce autonomous electric cars to the American market in 2020. The record times set by the EP9 aren’t too surprising when you look at the specs, however. Powering the electric supercar are four electric motors, one at each wheel, which produce a combined output of 1,360 horsepower. According to Nio, it will reach the quarter mile in 10.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 194 mph. Sadly, it’s probably only a matter of time before conspiracy theorists accuse Nio of faking the lap time.
